The RYA is the UK's national association for all forms of recreational and competitive boating. The RYA's training schemes are the de-facto qualifications for boating professionals worldwide. The organisation is also Europe's largest marine publisher, selling over half a million books per year.
Around 60 of their staff members use Microsoft Dynamics NAV to manage their accounts, payroll, membership subscriptions and merchandise orders.
Jeremy, one of our developers, has worked with the RYA since 2001. He's trained one of the RYA's own developers, managed two upgrades and handled some of their more complex development projects. He continues to advise the RYA on the growth of their NAV system.
We carry out much of the development work at the RYA's offices in Southampton (at no extra cost to the customer) - working in this way is more cost effective and makes communicating much easier for all involved.

We have also worked closely with the RYA on the integration of their website with the NAV system. The website includes a web shop which utilises Commerce Server and BizTalk Server technology. Amongst other things, the RYA uses the web shop to sell DVDs, RYA membership and to provide training centre information.

Flexco is the UK subsidiary of a US manufacturer of belt conveyor fasteners. The company also provides related maintenance solutions.
The company has 8 NAV users, employing NAV to manage their finance, warehousing and basic manufacturing requirements.

A family owned business, Dixons is a specialist in manufacturing precision surgical instruments from their factory based in the UK. With nearly 60 years of history, Dixons specialise in providing high quality equipment with a range of accreditations.
Having used NAV for many years they have used various versions and have recently upgraded to NAV 2015. They use the majority of the core NAV functionality including Finance, Inventory, Sales Order Processing, Purchasing Order Processing and Manufacturing. A particular feature of NAV that they utilise is its ability to track individual serial and lot numbers throughout the entire business process which is an important consideration in the medical industry.
Standard NAV covers most of their requirement and as such Dixons use a relatively standard database. Some small changes include the following:
