Dynamics NAV - Slow Moving Stock Report

Do you need to know which stock items are the slow movers?

Do you need to know which stock isn't selling? Do you want to know which stock items are slow movers? Do you want to clear out old stock on a regular basis?

The best way to do this is by running the 'Item Age Composition – Qty' report in NAV.

The report can be found in Departments/Purchase/Inventory & Costing/Reports:

Item Age Composition – Qty. Report

Enter the Ending Date – (Today)

Period Length (1Y)

Location Filter (W-SO)

Then preview the report.

Next, choose the 'Save to Excel' option:

Item Age Composition – Qty. Report

Open the spreadsheet and delete the first 7 rows:

Item Age Composition – Qty. Report

Then select columns A to K and turn on the filter function:

Item Age Composition – Qty. Report

Then filter column G for Zero values:

Item Age Composition – Qty. Report

The report will then show all items with no movements in the last year.

If you want to look at a shorter or longer period, change the ‘Period Length’ on the Options tab

I think we can agree that this is the way to go. (The number of offerings in the area is proof enough that there is a need for such a solution).

The question then
