Hotel reservations software
Development project: Hotel reservations / property management software for
use with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Customer: The New Wilmington Hotel in Eastbourne.
Project details: The New Wilmington Hotel was looking for new
hotel reservations software that could handle reservations as well as accounts.
Prior to installing Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the hotel was using separate
software systems that did not integrate as well as they would have liked.
The Dynamics Hotel Management System (DHMS) makes it easy for hoteliers to manage the most important areas of their business, including
hotel reservations and front desk tasks, accounts, housekeeping and marketing.
Significantly, the system has some features that other hotel
software providers have overlooked - ‘Carryover’ functionality
for room attendant schedules is one example. The software is also customisable to
suit your hotel's particular needs.
Features of our hotel reservations software
Reservations / Front desk
- View room bookings at-a-glance.
- Manage group bookings.
- Record and update group numbers (e.g. coach tours) on an ongoing basis.
- Review tariffs on-screen and set seasonal tariffs for high / low seasons.
- Set prices for discount periods and for single occupancy rooms.
- Produce a list of restaurant numbers and dietary requirements for meal times.
Accounts
- Handle deposits, invoices and payments (the software integrates with NAV accounting features.)
- Produce reports of invoices and deposits taken.
- Review posting of bank payments.
Housekeeping
- Print a list for room attendants with details of arrivals, preferred bedding types and linen change requirements.
- Set 'carryover' functionality, so you can decide which rooms require immediate cleaning and which should be cleaned the next day.
Marketing:
- Produce mail merged promotional mailshots, confirmation letters etc.
- Record ‘source of booking’ data - to keep track of how guests heard about your hotel.
Reporting:
- Produce reports based on any of the data held in the database.
- Report examples include: Arrivals lists, Chef's restaurant
numbers and invoicing and deposit reports.
Integration:
The Dynamics Hotel Management System integrates with a number of other systems/applications, including:
- AFD post code finder
- Internal phone systems
- Online booking systems
